What is Cardano

help_center Cardano is a Cryptocurrency founded by the infamous Charles Hoskinson who used to also be the cofounder of Ethereum (ETH). The Cardano protocol was created to address issues of previous Ethereum versions to improve scalability, transaction speed and decentralization with only a fraction of the ETH fees and energy consumption.

Cardano operates on two layers, The Cardano Sediment Layer (CSL) and the Cardano Computing Layer (CCL). ADA is the native token of Cardano and is named after Ada Lovelace, a 19th century mathematician known as the first computer programmer in history. Cardano is a blockchain platform that is used to send and receive digital funds anywhere in the world at increadible speed with tiny fees compare to the traditional banking system. Cardano is also known as the Japanese Ethereum as 95% of the participants of the ADA initial coin offering (ICO) were Japanese.

Cardano is also the first peer reviewed blockchain and is claimed to be the most sustainable blockchain ever created in the world while still maintaining the highest levels of security. Instead of using proof of work technology like bitcoin, Cardano uses Proof of Stake which allows for much more scalability and is less resource intensive has it only use a tiny portion of electricity compare to POW cryptos. With the launch of Cardano’s Shelley network, users can now stake their ADA with stake pools such as 888Pool.

Stake ADA With Us

group To delegate your ADA with us, you will need to install a Cardano Wallet. We recommend using Yoroi or Daedalus as they are the official wallets from Cardano. Yoroi allows you to start staking really quick, Daedalus requires more time as it needs to download the entire blockchain into your computer. After installing the wallet, transfer some ADA to your wallet and within the wallet software, look for the delegation section, search for '888' or '888Pool' and you will find us. Feel free to contact us if you need some help setting up your wallet and/or staking with us!
